Honda Transalp
« on: January 14, 2011, 07:10:06 pm »
Anybody here ever ride one (1989-1990)?  I think these bikes are super cool and to get one I will have to trade my 86 xl600r, 73 Triumph Tiger, and probably then some.  I need someone who has experience with one to talk me out of it..quickly!

I've not had a chance to ride one though I have always liked them even when they were new.  If you want to talk yourself out of it simply pick up the phone and try to track down standard parts that they will need at this stage in their life.  That might just do the trick for ya... :(

IIRC they still make them but only offered overseas.  Might as well figure in High cost of ordering parts from the UK etc.

Interesting looking bike.  Here is a link to one that is for sale for $2500.00.  http://www.transalp.org/phpbb2/viewtopic.php?t=5671&sid=645b0f45c8cf548c4168225386b1865b.  I guess you have to have it shipped or go to Utah and ride it back.
I am not much good at trying to talk you outta buying it,  I am more like an enabler.

A girl can't wear her spiked collar everyday or it will become ordinary.  And I am not an ordinary kinda girl.  I will put it back on just this once but don't expect it everytime, remember I am unpredictable and mysterious.  >:D  aa  :17
