06 GSXR 750 throttle problem...
« on: February 20, 2012, 12:55:58 pm »
 :groan

At Tally this past weekend my throttle decided to intermittently cut out. It was on the 2nd practice of the day. It was at high RPM's then dropped to almost 1 and then jumped back up right where it was. I came in and we looked at the obvious things (pinched lines, spark plugs, blah, blah, blah...) No luck. Anyway, I had to go back out and the bike made it through the race with a VERY unimpressive finish doing the throttle thing about every 8 to 12 sec. (this happened at high and low RPM's)... So it did not die but just acted like it was running out of gas... any ideas?????? I am stripping her down tonight and hoping to find something simple.

sounds like the FI system is wacked. Bad sensor maybe, TPS or CAS possibly. Have you ran a flowing fuel psi test off your pump yet? Could be a bad pump ....I have an '03 750 ECU you can try if it will work. I'm not too sure it will though.

Always check obvious things like the kickstand switch. That would be my guess. When you took the kickstand off how did you bypass that switch?
