I painted the chrome fender black on my 79 Kz I thought it looked really good. tied the bike together really well. I went back and forth on it for awhile though. lol Here's what mine looked like with a black fender

if you ride it in the weather at all, it will rot your pipes out faster....
just some food for thought...

Not trying to be argumentative here but can you explain to me how this is even possible ? I have six bikes of my own that I have wrapped and it has yet to be a problem. It is not possible for the wrap to get wet if one were to get caught out in the rain because the heat from the exhaust keeps it dry.  If a bike was never rode and left out in the weather I could see it being a issue, but beyond that I disagree.

guess i should have been more specific. I used to have and old GS that I rode everyday, regardless of weather. But my trip to work was only 4mi. Bike was all done up like a drag bike with a wrapped 4 into 1 V&H header. well, it lasted 1 yr and was almost rotted through.. like you said, it never got hot enough to completely dry out the wrap. And when that happens, it rots your header out faster.
So, i usually steer people clear of wrap on a street bike. Because the one person I would tell how great it normally is, would b the one that only rode 5 mi a day, and left thier bike outside to top it off...
