That pic is what it looks like from the top with the swap. Also I was wrong on yer. These are the 03-04 636 forks and tripples.forks r the same as 05-06.

This is the wire from the 636 that holds the harness up.just bent it the way I wanted. It holds pretty good.

After install of the rear shock and a bath.also got my crg mirrors on.

Do have an issues with the clip one but will deal with for now. The way my headlight assembly has to sit put the clutch and brake levers right against my plastic. Doesn't affect my riding but has started wearing slots in it. Going to get some more clip one if I do not do what apex did to his stunt bike and put them backwards and on top of the triple.sry for the late post of these.
Oh and the 636 front wheel spacers didn't work there smaller then the z. So I improvised and used two triple washers one on each side of the wheel which has worked real well. Do have some vibration but my front tire is cupped. Get it changed and see if it goes away.

Yea I told jeff that you used the triples off the 03-04. Jeff before you take everything apart on the bast that top clamp off the z will not work with the lower 03-04 zx clamp... I am telling that's why donald did not use his. Wouldn't work....

Yeah. The swept from the two bikes are different. I had to use the 636 up n lower or go buy another lower. Wasn't going to happen.

so I'm gonna hop onboard this thread with my swap, I've got all my stuff now I think and should be starting the build over the weekend. Hope I don't run into too many snags. I will post a pic or two when I'm finished and maybe a couple of those "what do I do with this" pics during the swap. I'm soooo ready to have this done. I't's hard to take the bike out now with all those parts sitting on the table just begging to be put on. By the way does anyone know of a rearset i can put on without breaking the bank, Brad told me zx10 rearsets would work, I saw a thread on the streetfighter forum about that too, seems there was a little drilling/tapping involved, if anyone knows chime in  please

ill see what I find out. Not sure if the 10 spacers will sufficient or if I still need more. I know my front z wheel is smaller width wise vs the 03-04 636. Had use two tree washers to get it to work. I'll let u know in a bit

Ok so according to the swap charts, since I am using my stock Z triples,i shouldn't have an issue with the wheel spacers right?

Right. The only time it would be an issue is if u change wheels or do like I did and change the tripples

Talk about a holy s**t moment....look what I found after removing my headlight cover/lights

there is a gouged out place on my fork where my HID ballast has been rubbing against my forks, another year of that and catastrophic failure.  It seems my ballasts barely fit in there and I didn't realize there was that much friction between the ballasts and forks, I will be wrapping the ballasts in rubber or something before putting everything back together with the other forks. This is a big friggin  :groan
