a Friend hooked me up with a class next month, a cool B-day gift... I feel comfortable riding but he's a concerned friend and worries so I'll post a review of it after I complete the course

Randy, I took that course at Smoky Mtn Harley earlier this year. It was really good. Learned a lot and the instructors really were interested in what they were teaching.

let me report about day two (yesterday)... we started at 6am... and they took a very slow approached to the bikes.. they really stressed Clutch Control.. we spent 5.5 hours out on the Range but was split up in two groups.. my group had an old man 67 who never rode before but the week before he bought a 35K trike and they threw in the class for free... anyways  very hot we had 4 instructors which worked out to be 3 students per instructors... my Instructors was very knowledgeable about riding.. though they wore HD patches on their shirts I never heard them try and pitch a sale to us..  after lunch we got the Tour.. of course the sells department wanted to us to buy a bike ... but they said after you get your license.. went back to the parts department... of course everything that has a HD on cost a lot more but... they stressed upgrading your head lights and tail and turn lights ... never said anything about loud pipe save lives... went back to the service department and they liked to bragged how they are current and keep up with the latest technology.. and than went to gear section... and they really talked about picking the right gear.. etc.. went back in class and went over the MSF book

more about day three... later
