So, after my wreck on the 16th I've decided to go ahead and turn this opportunity of customizing my bike a little bit into my winter project this year.

The following pics are of the basic tear down mainly of the body and tank as well as some of them showing some of the minor damage the wreck caused.

Left engine cover damage

Foot shifter broken off

Anyone ever seen a naked Kat :P

Plastics ready for gr8whitegixxer to pick up and work his magic on

Left bar, flipped, was damaged in the wreck

Tank still on

Wasn't damaged in the wreck but.......i'm not going to elaborate on how it was done...... :whistle

Getting ready to drain the tank

And thus starts my winter project :)

First things first...........paint

Gr8white will be handling my paint issue as well as some other "modifications" to some of the plastics.

Paint scheme will be a black ice base with ghosted skulls (sorta into the skull bucket theme) with some blue pearl mixed into it.
as well as the led lighting kit put back on before the instillation of the plastics on the bike.

I do plan on doing a 520 conversion on the chain and sprockets along with going down a tooth in the front (which jeff is helping me out with researching prices)

After that I will be going with a set of Vortex clip ons.

Still tossing some ideas up in the air when it comes to foot pegs, at the moment I'm thinking of getting a set of 06/07 Gsxr foot pegs and having a plate or bracket designed to bolt them onto that will bolt onto my bike's mounts. (any thoughts on that will be greatly appreciated)

And of course replacing the starter cover and foot shifter ( which may end up modified depending on foot peg design)

That is all that I have in mind at this time for this winter (subject to change). Hope everyone keeps up with it and I will make sure to keep the pics updated for this.

Day one of the rebuild, not a whole lot accomplished but I did learn quite a bit of how to work on this thing  O0

Rear tire off before sprocket change

Factory sprocket

New Superlite 47 tooth 520 sprocket

Left engine cover removed....right before removing the old gasket...(not fun)

Both covers before install.........glad it didn't rash all the way through the old one as I have a decent backup if I need it now.

New (used) cover on and a really nasty sprocket cover  :happypep

Will post more once I've gotten further on the build  :21
