POD Noise
« on: January 08, 2013, 10:48:36 pm »
Is it just me or does the noise from pod filters seem alot louder with the stock pipes on or is it because the aftermarket pipes are louder and just kinda drown part of intake noise out.

You gor it right..... I love the intake sound of pod filters.... my z1000 had the big oval K&N filters and the sound was intoxicating til about 5-6k rpm and the shorty muzzy came alive!!!!!  That was a sexy beast!!!!!

LOL yep thats it.Like when we used to flip the air filter covers over on our old cars.Guess i'll put those Monster Pros back on and live with it.I was just hoping somebody was gonna say I needed a tuning change of some kind ;D.Course I can always put the oe filter setup back on but that takes all the fun of experimenting away.

Go with the uni's they are much better than k&n.
And you want to make damn sure that's what you really want because there is no turning back. Lol yo have to cut the air box out. No way of getting it off with the motor on the frame. ;)
