Unfortunately I have no choice this year but to ride. Be a few before my other truck is going to hit the road. So off to see about heated gloves

Riding in the cold because you have to always makes it worse than riding in the cold by choice.
What does "riding season" mean?

It would probably be better to go from NC side to Cosby with a cruiser bike as you would be going uphill on gravel most of the way.  I've done it in a car and my truck but ice kept Paul and I off this time.  Hwy. 276 is a nice cut off between I-40 and Lake Junaluska towards Maggie Valley.  Would be a great ride in the Spring, Summer or Fall.  Ices at higher elevations in winter and sometimes snow too.

I rode that old 750 around the "neighborhood" last night about 10:00. Flannel shirt was plenty.

I was out Christmas Eve, New Year's Eve and New Year's day. Temps around 30+. I need new gloves or liners but the rest of my gear does well in that temp range.

I was out Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and the next day.  Wanted to ride New Years day but company showed up unexpected and I did not get to ride.  May ride later today. Have to cut a tree that is about to fall across my driveway first. :groan

Ok, it's around 18 degrees Fahrenheit with snow falling, and snow and ice on the ground/road. I passed a adventure bike on the interstate coming home.  :what

I went out ten min ago in it. Had only ten lbs of pressure in my tires. Kinda fun.
