Mirrors?
« on: March 07, 2013, 02:20:38 pm »
I want bigger and/or taller mirrors for my VTX. I don't care for most of the aftermarket ones I have looked at because most of them go the opposite direction. Any suggestions as to factory take offs that would fit the bill?

I'm with you thats why i've stayed with the stockers on mine.I also wondered if the heads off mine would fit the adapters on these when I had my fairing.

Mine are stock too. But, being the "C" model they are small and oval. I want bigger ones that have a taller stem.

I was looking to replace my "out-of-place" Chrome Mirrors with something Flat Black on the Phantom, so I went with these Flat Black EMCO Brand Rectangulars. My Stockers had a 3.5" Tall Stem, so I went with a 5" Stem. I no longer have to look down to use the Mirrors, just simply cut my eyes. The Mirror Length is the same as the Stockers, but the "Full Rectangular" Shape gives waaay more rearward visibility than the quickly tapering to an almost point Stockers provided.....

+1 guys.I like those mirrors David they have a nice size to them.Larry what I was thinking of was with my setup that would have them forward about 6 inches and close to the same width which would have made them easier to see for me if the mirror head wasn't too small.Been thinking about getting extenders for mine and turning the extender forward instead of out to get rid of the look down so much.

My reasoning is two fold really. 1st is to see more and a little easier. 2nd is they are in the perfect place now to deflect a lot of air to my hands and head.

That's what I thought. Are they both right hand thread? I want to say I had a bike at one point the one was left hand threads the other was right hand thread.

You were right. They're 10mm on both sides. I bought and installed a pair of the cheap black cycle gear mirrors. They're tall, plastic, with huge mirrors. Cool no...Awesome...yes!
