well got it all back together and rode it around today.... rides very smooth. still has a slight fueling issue. the fuel pump is weeping gas from it and they dont offer a rebuild kit for it. so looks like a new fuel pump is soon to be added. til then ill still ride it and enjoy it. also contemplating the paint scheme ill be doing.... havent figured it out completely yet....

The fuel pump can be rebuilt but it is a real pain. I forget which but one of the forums has a how to do it. I have done it but it would be easier to buy a new one.

its possible they may, but i run the same risk of it leaking also... new is under 100.00 so ill probably just opt for that. for now though i just want the rain to stop so i can get it out for more than just around the block...

I heard that........I was looking on ebay, and I've seen some for less than $40, but again, you run the risk of leakage....noone likes leakage do they :)

The last used ebay fuel pump I bought lasted about 2 months. Go new. Jeff, your parts are on the way to TN as we speak.

I'm going to... mines not too bad. Its just from the little weep hole facing the right peg. Thought about pulling it off and just cleaning it up a bit. I know the in/out valves are accessible and cleanable. Maybe it will buy me a little more time.....

Thanks a ton for the parts. Either message me here or email me when he's back. I can meet him this Saturday if that works for him. Just let me know.

The only way gas can weep out the hole is threw the diaphragm.  Not much you can do about it. If it is pumping the valves are ok. I'll shoot you a email tomorrow. Saturday is probably the best day to catch him.

well... took the time to sync the carbs, thanks for the use of the carbtune kit luke!!!!! probably the best sync kit ive ever used. they were way out, so close to closed, like riding with choke on all the time. no wonder fuel mileage was horrible. hope now that its a bit better. hoping to get about 35mpg out of it.

needs ape hangers, springer, old school king/queen seat with built in sissy bar , 16 in front ,car tire on rear ect. just joking . your bike looks great to me   i don't think it needs nothing but rode . nice clean look to it . i think your are right about chrome on that bike , sometimes less is more . i always did want to see one of those in a full chopper , but not that one . looks to good . i have seen one bobbed & it looked , well just fun. looks like your ready for this season anyway. ride it .  :21

Ill post some pics of the extra seat I've been working on after I get the material to cover it. It was a king/queen but I did some modifications to it.... kept most of the profile on the front but cut the mini backrest off and then flattened the rear of the seat out. Its more of a solo seat with space for a tailbag. The stock on it isn't getting touched. Ill save it for the ladies.... lmao!!!!
