2013 Honda CB1100:

I was at the Tokyo Motor Show in 2009 when this model was introduced with much fanfare. It was intended to celebrate "40 years of the Honda CB" and as such had to be loyal to the past while making it a functional modern motorcycle.  I thought then and think now that Honda succeeded brilliantly.

Here's a photo I took 25 March 2010 at the Tokyo Motorcycle Show:

Here's a video road test from Australia:

Cycle World road test here:  http://www.cycleworld.com/2013/07/02/2013-honda-cb1100-road-test-review-photos-specs/

Note:  the Australian test states that the bike doesn't fit tall riders.  American Honda has dealt with that issue by replacing the seat with one that gives the rider more legroom.

I think it's a great bike.

CB1100, New Zealand, and a Tiger Moth
« Reply #21 on: December 02, 2013, 01:21:38 pm »
Guys and gals,

Here's a very nice Japanese video from Honda showing the new CB1100 and an awful lot of pretty New Zealand scenery.  And a gorgeous old Tiger Moth biplane.

This shows exactly what the CB1100 was intended for...not sports...not touring...just going for a ride.  You know...what we all got hooked on in the first place?

I like this video a lot.  It shows what a Japanese rider would call heaven...open country and pretty scenery to ride in.  See how lucky you folks riding in East Tennessee are?
