New Photos of BMW's naked sport bike - S1000r
« on: November 13, 2013, 06:38:00 pm »

The German motorcycle press is covering this new bike in depth and first reports are pretty positive.  I'm looking forward to the English bike magazines getting their hands on one so I can read their reports.

What do you all think of the growing emphasis on naked sport bikes by many manufacturers?

A pair of clip-ons and you're riding a less powerful S1000RR.

I never understood why manufacturers felt the need to "retune" the naked/streetfighter version of bikes.  The S1000RR has plenty of low end on superbike gearing, change it to -1/+2 (or is it the other way around?) and you'll have even more.  Either way I'd love one.
