TTR 125 L + jets = beast
« on: December 28, 2013, 03:17:20 pm »
So I bought this ttr for my son to replace his XR80. But, it was starving for gas. So I had Ian order 110 & 17.5 jets. The throttle response is 200% better. And, it will stand up in 3rd gear with my fat butt on it! I was just so happy with how it turned out I had to share!

I miss mine though at least a friend still has it. Lots of fun once you jet them. :) Super easy to work on, too!

Do not argue with an idiot. He will drag you down to his level and beat you with experience.

Yeah the TTR is in desperate need of a rear tire and a chain before we get too crazy.  :34

Make see to jut get a basic roller chain (around $25) or so for it. I know a lot of people go and out nice ring chains on them and they won't last half as long as a basic chain.

Yeah the inexpensive functional variety is what I plan to get.

Curt,

That's interesting.  As a mostly street rider it seems counterintuitive to me since the bearing surfaces on an "O" ring chain are sealed and I would have thought kept the grit out and the lube in.  But your experience seems to be the opposite.  Do you have any thoughts on why that would be?

Chris

Actually most of your o ring chains have orings between the links and rollers. Dirt, grime, and mud gets in between and destroys the orings ver quickly. I will do my best to get some pics of what Iam talking about tonight once I get home from work. :n21
