Wasabi Battery Packs for the GoPRO HERO2
« on: May 02, 2014, 01:39:54 pm »
If you are like me, nothing spoils a great day of riding, when you have your battery die in your GoPRO. Worry no more!

Now, just to be fair, GoPRO does make replacement/spare battery packs for the camera, but they are rather expensive ( $20 a piece ).

Wasabi comes to the rescue with a battery the same size for the GoPRO but with MORE capacity

For what you are buying, you are getting quite a deal.... 2 battery packs, a car charger, a wall charger with adapters for different voltage levels ( AC volts ) for those who travel overseas ( Please note, I only have 1 of the batteries as the other one is in the camera  ;D ) all for around $20

Side by side, there isn't that much difference in the batteries, except for the mAH rating.

I really can't tell any difference during use. Runtime is about the same. I've heard some folks say the Wasabi battery is slightly smaller than the factory GoPRO battery, and it is, but not much. I've never experienced any problems with a rattling that some have ( the battery rattling around inside the case ). It seems like they are well built, well packaged and you get a good return for what you pay for.
