I hadn't seen these before. I don't know that I'd want them. But, I thought they were an interesting idea.

I think they look good on certain bikes with bags that match the angle of them.Not so much on others.Like the ones for the front can prevent damage to expensive bits if you drop your bike.Also a slick spot for the helmet lock on my nomad.

They do provide extra protection for both rider and corider, mine  are built under the bags. Do help in picking up a bike.
