GSXR history video from Suzuki
« on: September 01, 2015, 11:37:47 am »
The GSXR-750 was a real game changer when it first came out and it's surprising to think it's been thirty years.  I remember the introduction of the Gixxer very well. In late 1985 I was very much in the market for a new road rocket and since I was partial to Suzuki bikes I looked very hard at the new GSXR750 and 1100 models.  They were amazing bikes, offering something much closer to the "race bike with lights" that was the ideal of most sport riders.  In the end though, I bought something else that seemed likely to be even more exciting...my 1986 Suzuki RG500 Gamma.

It's a great video and shows the Japanese engineers who designed the Gixxer as much more than emotionless technocrats in lab coats.

(C'mon Suzuki, let's see part 2!)
