Another video that showed up in the email from Suzuki was this introduction to a "new" SV650.  The original SV650 was a huge sleeper hit for Suzuki about 10 years ago with the European motorcycling press in particular raving about the bike.  It was a classic case of Suzuki putting together a bike that was much better than it should have been judging by the spec sheet, much as they did with the 1200 Bandit.  The reason I put new in quotation marks is that this doesn't seem like a new bike to me but more like Suzuki Gladius v2.2.

Looking at the video I'm also struck by how dull this bike looks.  The specs quoted in the video are pretty good, 429 lbs, 74 hp, 61.3 mpg, but will that be enough to make people want this bike instead of say, a Yamaha FZ-07?  I think for this bike to succeed it better be able to undercut everybody else's price.  If it's cheap enough, it could become a the next great Suzuki nickle rocket.  If not, I think this will end up languishing in the showrooms.
