Barbers Vintage Festival 7-9 October 2016
« on: October 02, 2016, 06:06:28 pm »

The annual Vintage Festival at Barbers Motorsports Park outside Birmingham is this weekend.  Ian and I will be going on Saturday but the festival is Friday, Saturday and Sunday with a full schedule of events each day.

(If you haven't seen the Barbers Motorcycle Museum yet it's worth the trip all by itself.)

Draik will be there. He's going to be done there to help out his team "owner" to try to give back a little for all he did for him this season.

I had planned on going but the wife's surgery changed those plans...

You guys have fun and make sure if you see Draik, give him a hard time.

It's a fun event.

I went a few years ago. I hauled Burgman 650 Scooter down behind my Van and camped in my Van at the Waterfall Campground (forget name of the camp - it's a state park) east of Barber for four nights.

I did a lot of local area riding and only went to Barber one day. I rode in and as you likely know there is a road around the race track that you can ride your bike to stop and see the races from various vantage points (sit on the hillside overlooking the track).

They had a bike show, vendors, wall of death, and a lot of stuff going on.
Ride Country Roads - a lot. :-)
