My first attemp at disaasembly of a Exhaust can turned out OK, I screwed up a few things, Bent a few other but got it done. Sounds GREAT now. Not too loud at all IMHO. I wasnt paying attention when I put it back together so now the exhaust exit points to the right, The Erion racing LOGO is upside down.
All easily fixed if I wanted to tear it apart again.  NOT..
Also helped the NoPower problem on the Low end :D

Installed the Chinese Pazzo-Like levers, I loveem. There installation even fixed my start problem with the nuetral switch.

Got a set of tires all mounted up just to find out I dont have a socket for the rear axle. Biggest I have is a 28mm and a 36mm  I think I need a 32 or 34mm ?

Turn signals quit on me, The wiring on this bike has been butchered badly so I need to add those to my list.

All in all a fun day and ride to/from the gap..

Should be a 32mm. The reason for the bottom end is the back pressure. With an open pipe like that if not tuned you will lose alot of your bottom end. I am curios as to how it sounds. You should take a video of it and post it up. But when you do don't make the mistake everyone else does. start it and walk away from the bike a ways so we can clearly hear it on our side. lol so many people take videos of their exhaust next to the bike and it over powers the mic so you don't really get to hear how it sounds. Several peeps have ordered the knock off levers. I personally love them. takes awhile to get but worth the savings. I have them on my SV.

Started the WINTER tear down tonite.

All plastics removed to be painted, Im open for sugestions on colors, etc. (rattle can) no fancy ****)

Also gonna need some stickers for it.

ETB
129slayer
129photos
And who ever else wants there logo on it.

reinstalled the peg risers (need longer rear brake line) misc bolts missing have been ordered)
reinstalled rear brakes (removed by previous owner (see above)
Fixed cooling fan not working (temp sensor was not fully tightened to radiator (previous owner) causing bad ground)
removed turn signals (not working properly and not required in NC on a MC)
Headlight is busted all to **** (plastic repair by PO isnt holding) thinking about removal and install a race light then glass in around it to fill the large hole)

Pic as it sits in the garage.  Hopefully I can find the $ to rebuild and setup the susp this winter.
PO didnt reinstall internals of right fork properly,

Also gonna scuff then paint the frame flat black, All that polished aluminum has got to go.. :21

+1 on the polished going away. Personally I hate polished frames. Too much to try to keep up with. plus if you don't polish it every other week it looks like crap. haha
I have some large ETB stickers. Give me the addy and I will send them out. also have some 129slayer stickers I will send out as well.

Color......I vote black?

Well lets hope you never have to ride my 929 back :34

As soon as i get the brakes squared away Im starting on the front n rear susp..

Hopefully the general purpose (cpvc/pvc/abs) cement I coated onto the upper cowl/ headlight mounts has cured by the time i get back home @ xmas

Seemed to work pretty well sealing up the large long crack in the headlight itself.

Got emails today that my brake lines I ordered last night shipped today.
Also the missing rear brake mount bolts/etc shipped today. So brakes should be squared away for xmas.
Already have new EBC HH pads I got from Wheelers sitting on the shelf in garage.

Tis the season to be ReBuilding fala lah lah la lah lah lah.

Brakes are done front and rear w/ new lines. Tore apart front calipers and cleaned them up inside and out.

Put the plastics back on.

Headlight and upper cowl mounts repair w/ Cpvc/pvc/abs (plumbers glue) seems to work well so far,  Stress test over time will tell.

Gonna leave it like this for awhile, Might pulll it apart n paint frame later.

Only thing left is front n rear suspension respring and rebuild.

Lets rock n Roll.

Brakes are GREAT now, more than 2 fingers and your lifting the rear wheel.  WOW..
New lines. EBC HH pads, Disassemble and clean calipers.

Spent today adjusting the gear shift lever and making an extension and adjuster for the rear brake to bring it up into position, Had to gring off a few places on the rear brake pedal to be able to adjust it where I wanted it.  There as touchy as the fronts.

only thing left is the suspension, Some DOT race tires, and maybe rotors. Then its FUN time for sure..

Were getting there..

havent put the decals on yet for 129SLAYER and ETB, Waiting on the ones from dave then see what n where they will fit.

I did swap out the rear spring today.

Ordered a Spring compressor off ebay, Tore apart the F4 shock I had custom built for the VFR, Shock was shot.  I wanted the 18kg spring out of it.

Then put it in the 929RR OEM shock.  Almost lost a finger 3 times when the compressor poped off the spring.  All back together and reinstalled in the bike.  Only thing left now is the front forks.

Sorry I didnt take any pics, Added new steering head bearings thanks to some help from Curtie223.  I took it out last monday but it was just too cold to give it a proper flogging. Seems the new head bearings have fixed my twitch though.  When we removed the forks and all from the triple tree you could turn it slightly and it would bounce back into place.  No more twitch when I grab the brakes quickly either.  Now for a good weekend to take it out and really lay into her  :D :D :21
