I think the SUV decided that it wouldn't have been a good idea when we passed him.

Well seems the head bearings did the trick for sure,  Very fun to ride now.  Brakes are great, Almost over cooked a corner Sat night TRYING to keep up w/ Killboy and another local,  killboy was in his car, the other on a gsxr and a semi local goy on a Buel.  Yep im still damn slow :34

I think next is a power commander to fix the severe hesitation when you roll on the throttle, One of the previous owners had some head n Cam work so the FI system is a but confused if you twist it open too fast.

Not much to update in last 2 years except the 2007 CBR1KRR front forks n brake calipers.

This winter/spring She is getting new fairings, Redbull or Repsol, Most likely Redbull.
Dzus fasteners
quick release pins for the seat.
and as usual more tires..

Here is a pic from back in OCT I think.  I lost all my good pics in a HDD failure on my laptop.

What brand did you buy?  Interested to know how the fitment is.  Mine are Auctmarts, and I gave them an 8/10.  Happy with them, and the only fitment issues were due to the thickness of the paint.  Easily rectified with a little extra time spent during the first install.

They look good.  Looking forward to seeing them on the bike! :21

I didn't buy off ebay..  Aliexpress.com is like a amazon/fleabay of china.   I really think there are only 1 or 2 manufacturers all the others just do the paint.  We should see in a few weeks..

Still waiting on the new fairings.

Installed a f4i radiator today and added some push button lock pins in place of the seat bolts. Now have tool-less seat removal.   Great if I need to get to the battery for any reason.

New repsol Chinese fairings. Not at all inpressed. Fitting was a pia. Plastic is very brittle.

Yes.    That's bedliner spray paint I used on tank and frame.    Light clear coat of glow in dark on the frame.   Now I won't have a problem finding the bike in the darkness @ the gap @ nite. LoL

All the holes for the rubber well nuts were 1-2 drill bit sizes too small.
All the tabs on the inside of fairings for bolts such as the V area in front of headers were added after manufacture thus easily broke off.
Plastic was very brittle and extreme care needed when drilling larger holes for well nuts.
the Mid fairings were a major PAIN to get bolts into attaching to the lower or upper.  You had to force the lower and upper together in order for the mid to line up.

the V brace at the headers wouldn't even line up at all and interfered with radiator.

I cant ***** much since I only paid $350 shipped.  If I get bored I may see if the old lower fits better with the new mid and upper.

The Tail fit perfect with no issues at all..

Paint on new set was ok, some pits here n there, I was expecting something like horrible orange peel so they exceeded my expectations there..

Looking Good!  I agree, the bike has come a long way.  It was a lucky day for that bike when you brought it home.
