Australian flogging his Beemer
« on: February 04, 2017, 09:50:52 pm »
I found this video posted on an airhead BMW forum.  This video is from Australia and shows an old R100RS Beemer hunting down newer bikes on a road the locals treat somewhat like the Dragon.  There's plenty of goofy riding in this (watch the guy in front of the Beemer go really wide a couple of times) but the rider's view on one of my all time favorite bikes is irresistible for me.  As for flogging the bike, notice how deep he goes in the red zone of the tach.  Listen to that boxer twin sing the song of my people!

Sounds great. I thought that one guy ended up in the ditch.

I suspect he may have.  There's a comment on youtube from the rider of the bimmer that sounds like he saw the guy riding the edge of the ditch and slowing down.

Nice road -- not so sure about the riders. Probably for sure run off and leave me --- that said, I would not want to be on any road with them.  :groan :banghead

Ride Country Roads - a lot. :-)
