I know what you mean Skeeter...and we see evidence of it every day.

Just the other day on I-40 I saw an ambulance coming up behind me with it's lights going and siren sounding off.  I was in the fast lane and hit the brakes and turn signals to duck in behind a semi truck in the slow lane next to me to let the ambulance by.  The pick up that had been following me to hit his horn when he had to brake and then gave me the finger as he went past.   He made a point of not moving over for the ambulance until he had passed the whole pretty long line of semis although there were gaps between the trucks he could have fit in.  Why would someone do that?  Would he feel differently about it if he knew the person in the ambulance...if it was his mother or wife?  Do people become different when they get behind a steering wheel and stop caring about others?

I just don't know about folks sometimes...
