This is what target fixation looks like

He wasn't going to fast to not make the curve. looks like he target fixated on the guard rail and went strait for it.

1, Target fixated
2, Failed to properly engage the front brake
3, Failed to break the view and look toward where he needed to go
4, Seemed to totally tense up prior to the hit (bad thing!)

Thing he did right: Not locking the rear brake

lucky he didn't go over the rail, that appears to be quite a drop on the other side

Yeah really!  I don't think he could have done it more gracefully even if he had practiced!  Perfect line up, dismount, triple sowcow, fist pump, and had the bike back up before the audience could even finish applauding!   O0
